Astarell started things off with a quick Ice Beam.

Drayina used Protect, knowing that an ice attack would be the first choice against her, and struck back with Shock Wave (one of the Swift-like attacks with perfect accuracy.)

Astarell was hit hard, then used Hydro Pump.

Drayina took the attack head on, her dragon attribute lessening the impact, then shot a powerful Draco Meteor into the air, which rained down at Astarell.

Astarell dodged the majority of the meteors, though a few nicked her, then she fired off another Ice Beam.

Drayina managed to mostly dodge the Ice Beam, though she did feel some of it. "You're good," she said, using a Fire Blast which radiated heat all the way across the gym.

Jason covered his face from the severe heat wave, and Astarell skidded back a bit, though her Water type helped her to survive most of the blast. She spat a Swift at Drayina.

Drayina put her arms up to reduce the impact. She was panting a bit, starting to get worn down, but she was nowhere near giving up.

With her Shock Wave blocked, Drayina used the chance to fly in quickly. She attempted to grab hold of Astarell for a Submission attack, which would likely end the battle by knockout.

As she was grabbed, Astarell fired off an Ice Beam into Drayina's face.

Drayina reeled back in pain, but had already taken Astarell high enough that the fall would cause some damage.

Drayina was panting hard, but managed to stay on her feet. "Very well done," Guthan said. "It's been a long time since anyone gave my Drayina a good challenge."

Astarell couldn't fight to escape the ball. "Would you like to see some baby Dratini?" Guthan asked.

Drayina followed as well. "There they are," he said, motioning to a small nest of 5 baby Dratini.
"I'm very proud of them," Drayina said.

Drayina watched as one of the baby Dratini, whose skin was a pale green, looked up and crawled over to Jason, curling around his leg and falling asleep. "That's sweet," Guthan said. "Seems the little one is really taken with you. And in such a short time."
