Name:Guthan
Age: 69
Gender: Male
Appearance: browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&global=1&q=old+man#/d2i82rv
Desired gym leader number: 1
Desired location: Tall Grass/plains The gym floor is standard. Simple for beginning challengers
History: He has seen many battles. Many wins, many losses. He once dreamed of becoming the champ. He ultimately never could achieve that goal. In his travels, he had seen so many trainers with their pokemon, happy and together. The call of the trainer was strong and he couldn't stay away. He now is the leader of the first gym, using all new pokemon he caught after his failed championship run. His pokemon aren't strong, but still a good first test for new trainers.
Personality: Out of battle, he's a kind, caring old man. He hates seeing people sad and usually tries to cheer them up. He often goes off on stories of the old days. In battle, he's not a ruthless trainer. He fights at a level reasonable for his pokemon. All his pokemon are special to him and he treats them as such. Faced with the possibility of an injurious attack, he orders his pokemon to stand down. He'd rather throw a match than see his partners hurt.
Pokemon: Pikachu, Buizel, Butterfree, Dragonite(from his championship run)(used only if the challenger is a trainer abusing their pokemon to teach them a lesson about respect and trust)
Powers: None
Other:None
Roleplay example: (obviously, if I say the pokemon used an attack, the trainer gave the command, but I didn't bother to say that) Guthan sat in the back of the gym, grooming his Buizel while he Pikachu snacked and his Butterfree flitted about. He looked over to the giant doors as they creaked open. "Well, a challenger. I haven't had one in forever."
"It's been a while, huh? I hope you're not rusty. It won't be worth winning if there's no challenge."
"I couldn't agree more, sonny. We'll use 3 pokemon each."
"Sounds good." The young man threw out his pokeball, releasing his Chikorita.
"Well, how about you go first, Buizel?" Buizel grunted and stepped onto the field. Buizel opened his mouth and shot a Water Gun at Chikorita, who managed to dodge and countered with Vine Whip. Buizel attempted to dodge, but was caught and thrown high into the air. From there, Chikorita used Razor Leaf, hitting the airborn Buizel. Buizel hit the ground standing, ready for more, and launched himself at Chikorita with Aqua Jet. Chikorita was knocked back and used the opportunity for another Vine Whip, throwing Buizel backwards. She then ran at Buizel and tackled him full force, sending him flying towards Guthan. Guthan caught his Buizel and gently set him down. "You did well, Buizel. Take a rest."
