[Tythan is capturing a Mewtwo. I have total permission from Kiki to do this. It's alll gooood.]
Tythan hoisted himself up to the ledge of the cliff and plopped down, resting his legs over the edge. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, taking in the fresh mountain air. It felt good to be alone, away from his for the first time in nearly seventeen years. The feeling of loneliness, which would bring despair to most people, brought Tythan a taste of the freedom he so desired. Freedom from the pressures of leading the Laeltrian branch of Team Phantom, and freedom from both his parents, no just his father, but his mother as well. She was rather bitchy, now that Tythan thought about it.
Tythan shook his head and stood to his feet. Opening his eyes, he looked down the cliff face, down to the valley, nestled in between two large mountains, the peak of each of them reaching high up to the fluffy clouds, which were colored pinkish in the early morning sun. Tythan opened his eyes to check his watch, allowing a slight yawn to escape his lips as he saw that it was around four thirty A.M. As he did this he found himself questioning his motives for leaving the island when he had, at about twelve thirty the night before. The primary motive had been his want to walk to the base of the mountain, and to climb it in peace, not to teleport to the cave. If he had left at a more reasonable time, someone in the city would have attempted to stop him. In that situation, Tythan would have been forced to kill… Not that the purple haired youth had a problem with cold blooded murder.
If he did, how could he truly call himself his father’s son?
The secondary motive for his early leave had been wanting to keep this mission of capturing the Mewtwo to himself. The Legendary Pokémon was fabled to live deep within the cave, in an old, abandoned secret lab where he was rumored to have been created. Tythan wasn’t sure if it was here or not, but he would search for it. This was the only way to locate it, as the place was so magically hidden that finding it would be next to impossible unless the person searching, in this case, Tythan, knew the exact location of it.
Tythan brushed his pants off and spun on his heels, looking down into the cave behind him. By the light of the now lightly orange colored sun, Tythan could see into the cave, about fifteen or so feet into it, the light revealing some of its secrets to him. He smiled, revealing his almost perfectly straight and white teeth.
Still smiling, he stepped into the cave, though his smiled faded with every step as the darkness closed around him. Frowning now, he began to rub the thumb and index finger of his left hand together, eyes closed as he searched his mind for a spell that would help him see in the darkness.
After thinking for a few moments, he decided on a spell that his father’s close friend, Jarlaxe, had taught him. When the spell was cast correctly, it would bathe the area surrounding Tythan in a dull, almost lime green light. The light, while it may have revealed him to whomever was watching, it would also burn them like acid if they tried to step towards him without first getting permission. He smiled thinly, having seen the effects of the spell first hand. It was brutal, and for some reason, that amused the boy. It upset him that this amused him, but he had come to accept his heritage as a cold blooded killer.
He shrugged and looked forwards into the pale green light, eyes searching for something, anything that would point out the laboratory to him, so that he could find the Mewtwo he was searching for. After walking for what seemed like hours, the boy leaned against the rocky wall behind him, blinking when it pushed in, spinning around, and taking him with it.
“A secret door,” he muttered. This was good, he’d found his way into the place, and now he had to find the Mewtwo he wished to capture. And battle it. He frowned as he considered whether or not his Pokémon team was prepared to take on such a powerful foe. After deciding they were powerful enough to face…and capture the Mewtwo, he began to step forwards, wanting to find he Pokémon.
The laboratory looked like one would expect it to, tables covered with various test tubes and papers, chairs here and there, not in order at all. Tythan’s spell dissipated, and the boy frowned, remembering then that the spell would only last for a few hours. The boy wasn’t too big a fan of the darkness to begin with, but this laboratory had a sense of…tragedy about it. It was creeping him out. The spell’s light had only basked a little bit of the lab, hiding most of it in the total darkness.
Tythan’s hand reached out, feeling for a light switch. When he located one, he flicked it, and with a loud, humming noise, the large, fluorescent lamps above his head came to life, revealing what the rest of the laboratory held. Hooked up to the wall, was a large tube, surrounded by clear green Plexiglas. The front of it was destroyed, and various wires hung off the edges of it, sparking slightly. It was slightly saddening, but nothing like the rest of the scene.
Sprawled out on the floor of the laboratory was the various bodies of old and young scientists, tossed about by the psychic powers of the Mewtwo, who had killed them, probably in a rage after he had realized what he was. Tythan looked about the room once more, noticing a place where a crude copy of a tablet lay. The tablet was an ancient interpretation of Mew, the Pokémon that had been the base for Mewtwo, who was, at heart, merely a clone of the original Mew.
Tythan didn’t care though, he preferred Mewtwo much more anyways. The Pokémon, aside from being much larger than the Pokémon it was based off, was not pink. Tythan despised that color, and the assumptions that would be made if he had a pink Pokémon. The boy shook his head and moved forwards, towards a huge hole in the wall, light able to be seen at the end of it. It was a tunnel to the outside world, but Tythan had no idea what existed on the other end of it, but he figured it would be the Mewtwo, as the tunnel was not manmade, nor was it natural. The boy began to trek down the trail to the exit of the cave, excited to find what was on the other side.
As soon as he walked outside, he was gripped tightly by a Psychic force so powerful he, the mighty Tythan, was unable to resist it and was lifted into the air. Out of the shadows stepped a tall, humanoid Pokémon, the Mewtwo. Tythan couldn’t help but smirk as he the Pokémon stepped into his field of vision. In response, the Mewtwo tightened his Psychic grip, a loud snap breaking the still silence as the tightened grip of the Mewtwo broke one of Tythan’s ribs. A grunt escaped the boy’s lips and the Legendary Clone Pokémon stepped closer to him.
Why have you come here? The Mewtwo demanded, his mental voice almost like a shout in the mind of Tythan.
“To find you,” Tythan spat, unable to say much else in his current state. He breathed a sigh of relief as the Mewtwo relinquished his grip on him, allowing him to fall to the ground. After pushing himself to his feet, he met eyes with the Mewtwo, whose eyes were questioning him, searching for his motives. Tythan could at least close his mind from the probing Pokémon.
Why do you search for me? What would you be able to give me? The fools were created me were weaklings. They gave me power beyond your conscious thought. You do not what I am capable of. As the Mewtwo spoke, he flexed the three fingers on one of his paws, crushing a boulder that rested a few feet away from him. I am the clone of Mew, the strongest Pokémon of all time. Yet unlike the weakling I am the genetic relative of, I feel no mercy to anyone. As the thoughts about Mew reached Tythan, the original tablet, made of solid gold, possessing an ancient inscription of Mew, swirled up into the air, controlled by the unconscious thoughts of Mewtwo. Clenching his fist, the tablet was turned to a fine dust. Mewtwo then flicked his finger, sending the dust flying over the edge of the cliff, getting picked up by the light breeze, leaving the shimmering powder to float off into the distance.
Tythan snorted. “Those fools that created you?” He asked, shaking his head with a look of disgust on his face, “You think those fools knew anything of power?” Tythan stepped closer to the Mewtwo, staring down at it. “I can teach you of power. I can grant you endless strength, powers no Pokémon but you will ever have. You would be invincible. Do you like that idea?” He asked, lips curling up into a smile as he watched clone Pokémon mull over the proposition. He would be a fool to turn it down, but there was still a chance that he might. Tythan was glad that he had decided to take his Pokémon with him, as he figured they could take the legendary that stood in front of him if Tythan was unable to convert it to his ways.
You say, the Pokémon began, That you can grant me endless power and invincibility. How do I know that I can trust you? That you will actually give me this power you speak of?
In response to the question, Tythan smiled and raised his hand, palm outstretched. In front of his hand a ball of concentrated magical energy began to charge, blue lightning bolts crackling off of it. “Watch,” he stated, with his voice soft and calm, but stern and powerful. The voice was demanding, and the Mewtwo almost ignored the request just to spite the boy, but he could not help but watch as Tythan let loose the bolt of energy. It flew forwards, hitting the mountain that rested across the canyon and crashing through it, leaving a flawless tunnel through the entirety of the solid mountain. Still smiling, Tythan turned to the Mewtwo, allowing his outstretched arm to drift back to his side before opening his mouth to speak, “I would teach you how to do that,” he promised, “Would you enjoy that?”
The Mewtwo nodded in response, for truly, this human’s power did intrigue him. It seemed as if they purple haired boy had been speaking the truth when he had said he would be able to grant him infinite power, something Mewtwo craved, and would always crave until he obtained it. If you will teach me to harness the powers, I will go with you, with no resistance. I will give you my Psychic strengths so that you may use them to further your own personal agenda. The Mewtwo nodded to Tythan to reinforce his offer, I make you this offer so that we may work together to further our powers. Alone, we are conquerable, but together we will be unbeatable.
“I agree to your terms,” Tythan replied, giving the Mewtwo a nod. “My name is Tythan Tsukino, and you may refer to me as Tythan, or Ty, whichever will be preferable to you.” Tythan bowed as he spoke, used to bowing during formal introductions. “And what may I call you?”
My name? I have never been given a name, but you may call me Daivat.
Tythan smiled. This was going just as he had planned. He would now have a Mewtwo, named Daivat. The name was quite intriguing, since it meant something along the lines of ‘invincible one.’ Tythan shook his head and his smile seemed to grow. The Mewtwo glanced at him, then shrugged his shoulders absently. This was his new master, and he would obey him, even if he disliked bending to the will others, this strange youth was powerful, more powerful than anyone Daivat had even known.
He would obey him, and he would grow in strength. Soon, he would be the strongest in existence. He smiled, this thought pleasing him. There had been no battle, but he would go with Tythan. Daivat had no doubt in his mind that Tythan would have destroyed him, no obliterated him in a battle. As such, he would go without resistance.
The purple haired youth next to him raised his right hand, fore finger and thumb together, and snapped. The pair teleported back to Tythan’s island, and the rest of the team. Tythan was done there, and he saw no reason to hang around any longer than it was really needed. With his teleportation spell, he infused a healing one to fix up his rib.
No reason to go home broken, beat, and scarred.
